| Abstract: | This article states that Christian culture of the Middle Ages inherited the ancient Greek academic tradition of relating the philosophic thoughts with knowledge of natural science and that the Aristotelian theory was the knowledge base of the system of Christian culture. On the other hand, Christian culture of the Middle Ages embraced a variety of unorthodox ideas so that the freedom of thought developed on the basis of positive natural science, which helped to bring about the modern scientific thoughts. |
