The Lincoln MKT is the kind of show car that is more a pre-production car than a concept. The concept is based on the Ford Flex platform. The Flex, a squarish production vehicle, was also introduced at the Detroit motor show. There are, however, some details of the Lincoln MKT - like the polyearbonate windshield-roof and the doors that open up at an angle to avoid hitting the kerb - that are not likely to become reality until further into the future.
