| Abstract: | Start control circuit is crucial to locomotive for safe and reliable running. By analysing the two different start control circuits adopted in DF_7 locomotive, the author illustrates that problems as contact burn of the contactor, decreasement of electrical insulating performance and inductive overvoltage are more likely resulted from wrong action sequence of electric apparatus. The right sequence is indicated for start control circuit of diesel-electric locomotives in comparison with that on DF_4. Furthermore, design principle of start control circuit for diesel-electric locomotives is approached. |
