Horizontal Mixing Consolidation Technology Applied in Ground Consisting of Mud Layers

Where a shallow-buried underground tunnel is mined in soft ground consisting of mud layers, plastic deformation, even loss of stability is prone to occur. The article presents a new kind of soil consolidation technology suitable for muddy ground, i.e. horizontal mixing consolidation technology. By means of the mentioned horizontal mixing consolidation technology, the difficult problem that there is no space available on the ground surface for the ground consolidation construction is overcomed and the ground surface subsidence is effectively controlled by means of proper monitoring and control of the volume of the returning mortars from the hole mouths.
