Monitoring corrosion inhibitors

Saudi Aramco has created a device to test gas for levels of pipe-saving anti-corrosives. The combination of acid gases and moisture in sour natural gas can corrode pipelines and equipment from the inside out .State-owned Saudi Aramco has been injecting corrosion inhibitors in these pipelines to combat wear from the elements for many years.But standard gas sampling techniques are inadequate to detect and measure corrosion inhibitors entrained in sour gas streams.
