The Relationship Between Airtight Test of Power Battery and IP68

Abstract:At present,almost every OEM places the power battery under the vehicle chassis in order to save space,lower center of gravity and ensure the driving stability of the vehicles.Power battery is the only power source of the EVs,which brings high energy.At present,the pure electric vehicle with an mileage endurance of more than 600 km has a power of about 100 kW•h or so.Any intrusion of water and dust entering the power battery may cause internal short circuit,w-hich will cause the risk of fire and explosion.It may endanger the personal safety of passengers.Therefore,it is very important to ensure that the air tightness test standard and the power battery meet IP68.The purpose of this paper is to find out the relationship between the air tightness test standard of power battery and IP68,ensure that the power battery meets the requirements of IP68,and ensure the safety of power battery and passengers.
