| Abstract: | Required rate is one of economical methods used to compare different harbor engineering options and select the most suitable one. The calculation process of required freight rate （RFR） is indicated through the analysis of economical ship style, which deduces comprehensive required rate. Then a reasonable option is selected by comparing various construction options from the aspect of economy. |
