Reserch on Analogy-Based Bridge Design in Intelligent CAD System

Engineering design process and its completeness are analyzed. With a theoretical model for engineering design process, the two-stage design model under planning control, astheoretical basis, the method to design the bridge data structure is discussed, and thecorresponding analogy based reasoning model is built. The intelligent CAD system choose theanalogy prototype according to design goals, and produce a initial solution to the designproblem. It also can solve the conflicts between data according to speciality stipulation, andperfect the initial design of bridges under the support of engineering data base and knowledgebase.
