Abstract:This paper presents the adaptive and self- tuning control strategy and algorithms for vehicle suspension design. The feedback control gains of the controller designed using stochastic linear quadratic optimal control theory, are adapted to the changes of road input and the variations of vehicle parameters, in order to provide optimal control in different conditions. The results of simulations showed the feasibility and effectiveness of the approaches.
