| Abstract: | Based on practical experience obtained during the repair project of the Lingao historic beacon, the paper probes into the approach and methods of preserving the historic beacons in China.It suggests that the beacon should be restored to its original conditions in order to reproduce its hundreds years of vicissitudes and carry forward the profound history of navigational aids in China. |
