Abstract:The author of this article has led and attended the production design for the hull blocks construction of several CCS oil/chemical tankers which are more than 10 000 t, and also designs many types of hull blocks' jigs. This article expounds that the jigs play important roles for strictly controlling the hull linear in the shipbuilding of small and mediumsized ships, and the jigs must be of sufficient strength and stiffness in the construction than can meet the operation requirements, which plays a guiding role for controlling the construction quality and precision of hull blocks.
