Review on Quantitative Analysis Methods of Thermal Physical Properties for Power Battery

Abstract:The electrical performance,safety and cycling performance of power batteries are closely related to the battery’s operating temperature.Under certain heat dissipation conditions,the temperature of the power battery mainly depends on its intrinsic heat generation and specific heat capacity characteristics.The above thermophysical parameters can be accurately tested by isothermal and Accelerating Rate Calorimetry(ARC)methods.This article mainly compares and analyzes the similarities and differences of the two test methods from the aspects of test principles,simulation scenarios,test sample sizes,data analysis process,and test results to guide the reasonable acquisition of thermal physical parameters in the design of battery thermal management systems.
