中国社会阶层结构变迁的展望和导向

中国正在全面建设小康社会，并为到本世纪中叶基本实现现代化而奋斗。中国社会阶层结构也正在朝着现代化的方向变迁。不少学者把按经济等级划分中间大、两头小的橄榄形结构作为中国社会阶层结构形态所要追求的现实目标，这是不符合拥有超级人口的中国国情的。到本世纪中叶的社会阶层结构形态，只能是下比上大具有弧形底部的生梨形。我们要在这样的社会阶层结构形态下，以最广大人民的根本利益为导向，采取一系列的适当的制度安排和政策选择，使社会富有活力和持久稳定。

Prospect and Direction: Changes in China's Social Stratum Structure

China is struggling for building a well off society in an all round way and generally accomplishing modernization by the middle period of this century. Chinese social stratum structure is also changing in the direction to modernization. Some scholars propose that ideal China's social stratum structure should seek to take the shape of an olive, which may not be suitable for China's national conditions, who has tremendous population. By the middle period of this century, China's social stratum structure can only take the shape of a pear, with a big arc shaped base. With such a structure, we should, guided by people's fundamental interests, adopt a series of proper systems and policies, so as to make our society energetic and stable.
