Abstract:Belt conveyor system is an important part of bulk cargo terminal, and induction motor, as the most important driving component, its operation efficiency is not high, which leads to the waste of electric energy. In this paper, from the perspective of rotor field orientation of induction motor, a new model of induction motor considering core loss is established, and the maximum efficiency vector control strategy is proposed. By detecting or estimating the current signal of the motor, the motor can run at the optimal efficiency point, so as to improve the overall efficiency of the belt conveyor system. Finally, the influence of the control method on the motor operation is simulated. The results show that the maximum efficiency vector control strategy of induction motor considering core loss can more effectively reduce the loss and improve the operation efficiency.
