Abstract:Based on a sea reclamation works in Huizhou, the seawall must be built as per high standard so as to shield the chemical industry park behind. The relevant formula specified in Chinese code is followed to produce the theoretical value of top elevation of seawall, the stable weight of armour block, cushion and bottom protection rubble. Local complex terrain results in serious wave reflection and superposition, even wave energy concentration in partial area. In order to test whether the seawall keeps stable and the overtopping in actual environment, it is necessary to carry out physical model test, and then optimize its structure by analyzing the experimental data in order to meet the requirements for stable structure and protection of rear buildings under actual wave conditions.
