Abstract:Based on a renovation project of typhoon damaged revetment in the southeast coast of China,combined with the natural conditions such as tide, waves and so on, the causes of revetment damage are analyzed.Based on the results of field investigation and cross-section model test, a reasonable and feasible revetment repair program is proposed. Steep slope design of 1:1.25 is adopted for the armor block, which not only reflects the requirements of intensive use of the sea area, but also increases the use area of the land area. Under the action of waves with a longer period of more than 10 s, it is suggested that the weight of armor blocks calculated according to the code formula should be increased appropriately. Armor blocks are placed regularly above the designed low water level and randomly below the designed low water level, with good integrity and beautiful appearance on the water and good stability and easy construction under the water.
