| Abstract: | The theory and practice of the blocking in dock is discussed in the paper. A simple method fot block reactive force calculation is proposed. The rigidity and the strength of block, as well as the longitudinal and local strength of docking ship and the effect of the ship heeling on blocks also studied. The principles having to be followed and the matters needing attention in blocking are proposed |
