Choice of Suitable Lockage Occasion for Vessels Entering the First Chamber of TGP Ship Lock

Based on a systematic analysis of lockage duration of two general waiting modes before vessels enter the first chamber of the Three Gorges lock,we provide two solutions to save time passing through the lock: One is berthing at floating navigation guide-wall and waiting for entering the first lock chamber;The other is that while the vessels moored in the first chamber enter the second chamber,other vessels berthing at navigation guide-wall enter the first chamber simultaneously.The applications of the two solutions are also presented.
