Abstract: | Initially the paper summarized the technological advances in suppressing the brake NVH (noise,vibration and harshness). And the modal synthesis technique for system analysis was developed based on the mechanism of squeal noise generation. The synthesized modal model is used to analyze the brake with low frequency squealing. The key structure that primarily affects noise is the mounting bracket and the break with the modified mounting bracket was verified according to the standard SAE J2521 procedure. Finally the SAE level of the studied brake was raised from BBB-BB to AAA after modification. |
