Nanming River is famed as "Mother River" of Guiyang City, and is the main flood discharge and sewage discharge passage of Guiyang City. With the continuous development of the economy in Guiyang, the area of the city is continuously enlarged. A large quantity of the produced sewage and wastewater cause the serious pollution to the lower reaches of Nanming River. Therefore, the construction of Xinzhuang Wastewater Treatment Plant - the largest WWTP in Guiyang City is also listed in the construction schedule. The article sets forth the general conditions and some existing problems in the design of the main sewage interception gutter at the lower reaches of Nanming River completed for the construction of Xinzhuang WWTP.
