Development Status and Trends of Discipline of Highway Environment and Sustainable Development

Along with the development of economy and society, the requirement on environmental protec- tion is getting higher and higher. The Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC put forward the overall lay- out of ＂ five in one＂ , which requires integrate construction of ecological civilization into entire process of economic construction, political construction, cultural construction and social construction. Therefore, the paper summarizes the development status of discipline of highway environment and sustainable devel- opment, comparatively analyzes the research progress at home and abroad, looks forward the future trends of this discipline. It has important significance for promoting the development of this discipline and accel- erating the development of green low-carbon road transport system.
