Abstract:Subgrade widening is currently one of the most common reconstruction projects in the field of roads.After the construction is completed,it is prone to various road distresses due to uneven deformation.To obtain the deformation law of the road after widening,finite element model of the subgrade widening was constructed based on the general-purpose finite element program ABAQUS in this paper.The settlement law of the ground under the widening of the subgrade was analyzed.On this basis,the influences of various factors on settlement were analyzed,including widening width,layer-widening thickness,and construction consolidation time.The results showed that after the subgrade was widened,the settlement deformation started from the center point of the old subgrade,reaching the maximum at the junction of the new and old subgrade,and then gradually decreased to the edge of the new one to 0.As the width of the new subgrade increased,the amount of ground settlement increased,and the curve became smoother.The influence of the layer-widening thickness on the final settlement was small,but the deformation path to the final settlement value was different.The effect of consolidation time during construction on the final settlement was negligible,but it had a more significant effect on the settlement after construction.
