| Abstract: | The paper introduces the situation of a shield trapped at the bottom of a river near Luntou while the shield was boring the right line transit tunnel from Luntou to Daxuecheng on line 4 of Guangzhu Urban Rail Transit.Difficulties encountered and countermeasures adopted are described which can be taken for reference by similar projects. |
