Abstract:The paper discusses the relation between the air gaps and the efficiency of linear induction motor of subway vehicles and analyzes the interaction forces between stator and reaction plate of linear induction motor,indicating that larger air gaps may bring about increase of operation energy consumption.It puts forward the ideas to regulate the air gaps of linear induction motors and introduces in detail the methods of measuring the air gaps.
