| Abstract: | The paper has analyzed from technic-economic aspect the advantages and disadvantages of providing power factor compensator to different types of electric loccmotives, based on the design and testing results of several typical domestic and imported electric locemotives. An investment proportion of providing power factor compensator to electric locomotives or traction substation have also been calculated in the paper. |
