| Abstract: | Recently, planning and construction of intercity rapid railway network in China has become an urgent requirement for the development of economy and cities. This paper analyzes the difference between the inter-city rail transit planning and the conventional transport planning, especially the characteristic of passenger demand for the inter-city rail transit, proposes the demand forecasting method of inter-city rail transit based on the influence area, traffic zoning, mode distribution, induced demand analysis and value of time calculation. |
