Application of Open Caisson Construction Technology under Sand and Pebble Geological Conditions

Abstract: open caisson is a common construction method for some pump well structures with large buried depth because of its strong integrity, good structural stability and wide range of applicable soil. Based on the construction example of the open caisson of the intake pump house project of a sewage plant in Suining, the paper expounds in detail that under the geological conditions of sand and pebbles, through the analysis of geological and hydrological characteristics, the construction scheme of combining the drainage and non drainage of the open caisson is selected to successfully complete the whole construction process of the project. It is hoped to provide reference and reference for similar projects.
