Activating a Passive Database Using Knowledge Discovery Techniques

Writer proposes a framework for the automated translation of the output from knowledge discovery systems to active database rules. We term this process as database schema refinement. We introduce a new rule identification measurement for categorizing knowledge discovery rules into semantic integrity constraints and probabilistic rules, then we propose a general process of generation of the ECA equivalents, and we show how this is implemented in an Oracle database.
