This article analyzed the difficulty,technique and countermeasure during the progress of holds cleaning when the high quality cement was transported by Panamax bulk carrier,clearly expounded that thorough removal of the cargo residue before washing and/or acid-washing is the key of the hold cleaning after discharging high quality cement.It provides the reference and guidance to the Captains working on the non-cement carrier which carry out the cement transportation.
