Abstract:A load direct calculation method is presented in this paper, which is used in the hull strength analysis of whole ship 3D finite element model. The gravity of the ship structure and the equipment is directy applied to the finite element model at the places coincident with the real places in the real ship, according to the general arrangement design and the calculation table of the weight and center of gra vity of the ship. The water pressure on the shipboard is directly applied to the wet surface of the whole ship 3 D finite element model according to its real distribution law. The treatment of boundary condition and the dctermination of the wave parameters are presented, when the trochoidal waves are used for simulating the effect of the real waves acting on the ship in its real navigation. The trial voyage test state of a ship is simulated with the trochoidal waves, the load direct calculation method and the 3 dimensional whole ship finite element analysis technology. The simulational results are verified by the trial voyage test data of the real ship. The good accordance is shown in low ship speed.
