Abstract:The steel truss arch spans of the main bridge of Dashengguan Changjiang River Bridge in Nanjing were erected by the girder erection cranes and double cantilever construction scheme. Used as the auxiliary supporting system for erection of the spans,the pier-side brackets to be arranged at the main piers of the bridge were indispensible. In this paper,the structural design,construction procedures and joint handling of the brackets are introduced.
