| Abstract: | The success of a FMS(flexible manufacturing system) depends on its design. In this paper, a method is proposed by applying expert simulation systems to the design of FMS. For the method to be applied, the techniques of multiple database cooperation and sideways chaining are discussed. The effectiveness of the method is examined with an example. |
