| Abstract: | In view of the characteristics of vocational college students, this paper, based on politeness principle, suggests that tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim and modesty maxim should be adopted in vocational English teaching so as to construct a harmonious teacher-student relation, thus to achieve maximal pragmatic effect and teaching objective. |
