Improvement of Curving Performance by Modification of Wheel/Rail Contact Condition
Abstract:In view of the present shape of bogie wheel treads, three measures of widening gauge, increase of tie plate angle of inner rail, and unsymmetrical grinding of inner rail head are taken so as to increase the wheel diameter difference between inner and outer rail and improve the curve performance.
