Epidemiological Study on Viral Hepatitis in Students in a Medical College

The epidemiological study was made on viral hepatitis in students of a medical college in Xi'aa in 1981-1982. The results showed that the incidence of viral hepatitis was 5.38% (131/2433)in 1981 and 8.36%(247/2952) in 1982 respectively. The incidence reached the peak (10.94%-14.78%) in students of the third year, but after the fourth academic year, it was gradually reduced. The frequency of attack was higher in boy-students than in girl-students. Viral hepatitis occured each month, especially in March, June and December.
