| Abstract: | The analyses on the coastal wind and wave characteristics of Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East Sea and South China Sea are given. It is raised that the typical wave height should be used to describe the annual wave intensity in sea area and recurrence study and grouping should be done for the maximum value of wave height. It is significant for choosing port location, predicating wave elements and wave-proof design. |
