The feasibility of magnetic suspension train between Shanghai and Hangzhou has been a point of controversy ever since its presence. Based on the operation of Shanghai Maglev Demonstration Line, this article objectivley estimates the due cash flow of this maglev line, reckons up the passenger flow according to the turnover period, and eoncludes that passenger flow is the most important factor that affects the profitability of Shanghai- Hangzhoou Maglev Line. Without the support from government, the maglev line between Shanghai and Hangzhou will make no economical profit even the project is completed.
