Major Cargo Claim Risk and Avoidance in the Carriage of Steel Products to the USA

As the biggest steel products import country in the world,USA also tops the first in the claim ratio against the cargo damage of imported steel. Basing on the working experience during the service in the West Europe to the US Gulf steel liner,in combination with certain conclusion from courts in the USA concerning this matter,this article does some researches on the major causes for the steel cargo damages in marine transportation and on the measures to eliminate the claim ratio in the carriage of steel products to the USA.
