Construction Technology for Small-Net-Spaced Tunnels in Water-rich and Fractured Regions

Taking the construction of the water rich and fractured portal section of small net spaced Hengshan tunnel on Yong Wu highway as example, the author systematically presents the comprehensive construction technology for small net spaced tunnels located in water rich and fractured regions, including the optimization of the excavation plan, the reinforcement technology (with the emphasis being placed on the consolidation of the rock pillars and the strengthening of the reinforcement system) and the rich water treatment (i.e., well point dewatering). The presented construction technology demonstrates that the construction plan is safe and economic.
