| Abstract: | On basis of summarizing the experience in the construction of the passenger-dedicated railway tunnels in China, the authors present the technical features of the construction the large cross-section tunnels and the selection of the excavation methods for the tunnels. Taking the construction of the tunnels on Hefei - Wuhan passenger-dedicated railway as case histories, the authors furthermore probe into the tunnel excavation methods. The paper can provide reference for the construction of large cross-section tunnels in the future. |
