归结论视阈下的文化派译论实质浅析——从赵彦春的《翻译学归结论》谈起

在文化派译论逐渐占据翻译主体地位的潮流中,赵彦春等学者意识到翻译正一步步失去自己的地位,因而提出了归结理论,对文化派译论进行了较为客观的思辨。鉴于中西文化传统和思维方式存在巨大差异,对同一理论持完全相反的观点有时也在所难免,但笔者认为归结论对文化研究范式的批评太过激烈。诗学、赞助人、权力关系虽然不是决定性的因素,但也不应视而不见。这些因素影响甚至支配着译者的翻译活动,成为翻译学研究的重要思想资源,为翻译学的理论优化做出了积极贡献。

An Analysis of the Reductionism on Nature of Cultural School——My view on Zhao Yanchun''s A Reductionist Approach to Translatology

While cultural school is taking the centre of translation studies, scholars like Zhao Yanchun come to realize that it is losing its key position. Thus he puts forward translatology reductionism, under which he gives an object criticism to cultural school. Owing to the great differences between Chinese and western culture, traditions and thinking patterns, it is inevitable for different people to hold complete opposite opinions to the same theory. However, the author thinks that he subjects cultural school to criticism too fiercely. Though poetics patronage and power are not decisive factors, they indeed influence or even control translator＇s activity and function as important resources for translation studies and an indispensable element to its theoretical improvement. Therefore, we should hold a dialectic attitude toward it rather than just ignore it.
