TELEMEDICINE NETWORK BASED ON CODE-DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
Abstract:Objective To satisfy the need of reliable and efficient telemedicine in many mobile and ambulance situations. Methods A practical telemedicine system bases on code division multiple access (CDMA) wireless communication technology has been developed, which has never been mentioned before. The design scheme for the proposed system is described and detailed analysis of the network protocol stacks and the data flow is presented. Results Experiments on real time transmission of medical images using developed system have demonstrated that the system performance is satisfactory and acceptable. Conclusion The telemedicine system based on CDMA is easy to implement and has high quality of transmitted images. It would be a prospective solution to mobile telemedicine.
