Impact Analysis of Motorcycle Traffic on Urban Traffic System

Motorcycle vehicle consumes high energy and brings out severe environment pollution. As one of the traffic modes of urban traffic system, it has some disadvantages such as indistinct road right, large dynamic road occupancy, overlapped service distance and time, poor safety, high
accident die ratio and high trip cost. This paper analyses the influence on other power-driven vehicles of motor cycle in time delay, energy consumption and environment pollution as an example. From the analysis we can conclude that motorcycle traffic should be restricted in urban traffic system.
