The Application of Communication Strategies in the Interpretation of New Words

Interpretation is an impromptu oral activity in which information is transformed from a source language into a target language.The nature of interpretation requires an interpreter to complete the decoding and encoding processes in a fairly short time.During interpretation,the interpreter often encounter such difficulties:they fall into a paralytic situation because of their failure in interpreting the new words.This paper analyzes the application of communication strategies in the interpretation of new words and explores some strategies to deal with the problems caused by the failure to interpret the new words.
