原发性甲状旁腺功能低下所致癫痫大发作

本文报道了5例原发性甲状旁腺功能低下所致的癫痫大发作,长期误诊为原发性癫痫。误诊的主要原因是该病为一少见病种,非专科医生对该病不够熟悉。作者对于两者的鉴别诊断提出了自己的意见。认为:凡用钙剂和维生素 D 治疗以后发作停止,低血钙改善以后脑电图恢复正常,甲状旁腺素治疗有效,抗惊厥药物治疗以后发作频数等有助于原发性甲状旁腺功能低下所致癫痫的诊断。

GRAND MAL EPILEPSY CAUSED BY PRIMARY HYPOPARAT HYROIDISM

This paper reports five cases of epil- epsy caused by primary hypoparathyroid- ism.They have been misdiagnosed as pri- mary epilepsy for a long time,The rea- son for the misdiagnosis is that this disorder is very rare and non-specially trained doctors often fail to recongnize it, Our view on the differrential diagnosis of prinary epilepsy and secondary epilepsy due to primary hypoparathroidism is as follows.The attack of epilepsy may be stopped by the administration of vitamine D and calcium.With hypocalcemia being improved,electroencephalogram returned to normal;the treatment with parathroid hormone proved to be effective,whereas the treatment with anti-canvulsunt tends to increase the attack.All above-mentio- ned points are helpful for making the dia- gnosis in epilepsy caused by primary hypo- parathyroidism.
