Abstract:With the wide application of lithium-ion battery in power,energy storage and other fields,the safety of the batteries has become the main research object.The main factors influencing the safety of lithium-ion batteries include key materials,structure and technological design,production and use etc..In this paper,the reaction mechanism,research findings and safety test standards of lithium-ion batteries under overuse conditions were analyzed and summarized.The failure of lithium-ion batteries under conditions of mechanical,electrical,thermal and environmental overuse were reviewed.In terms of the current research findings,the thermal runaway reaction mechanism and its influencing factors of lithium-ion batteries have been deeply studied,but further research and improvement in the other aspects are still needed.Furthermore,the existing safety test standards need to be revised and improved with the extensive application of the battery.
