| Abstract: | By applying neural network theory, a method for estimating the shipbuiliding cost and the average cabin area for a passenger/cargo ship is presented in consideration of a star-level criterion of passenger ships proposed by the authors. Thereafter a computer program for calculating the principal dimensions of a passenger-container ship is developed and an example is given. |
