It is pointed out that more attentions should be paid to the problems of safety management of aged container ships, especially such as local construction strength, fastening, reasonable loading and prevention of oil pollution etc. The defects occurring in the ships should be inspected, the levels in oil and water tankers should be measured frequently and maneuvering operation in big waves should be dealt with properly.
