| Abstract: | Aiming at features of frequent secondary accidents on expressways in our country at present and starting from coverage analysis for traffic flow after the primary traffic accidents, this paper expatiates analysis methods for influencing range and time of traffic accidents on expressways. The paper establishes an analytical model for coverage of traffic accidents based on TransModeler, a micro traffic simulation platform, to perform example analysis for coverage of traffic flow of one emergency accident. This model can provide information and decision making support for issue of information and warning in advance of traffic accidents or other emergency events so as to reach the purpose of reducing occurrence of secondary accidents. |
