Abstract:Based on the current situation of rail detection in Xinshuo railway,a high-speed testing platform was established to study the performance of ultrasonic flaw detection at high speed.On the basis of the principle of rail ultrasonic testing,different types of artificial damage were designed.The ultrasonic reflection path differences between60 kg/m rail and the sample wheel of high-speed testing platform were compared through theoretical calculation.The simulation models of 60 kg/m rail and sample wheel were established by using CIVA software,and the ultrasonic flaw detection results were compared and analyzed.Both static and dynamic tests were carried out on the high-speed testing platform to verify the ultrasonic flaw detection performance at high speed.The results show that the ultrasonic detection difference between 60 kg/m rail and sample wheel rail head is less than 2 d B,and the crack of sample wheel screw hole after angle correction is basically consistent with that of 60 kg/m rail.The detection signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of 60 kg/m rail head nuclear damage,screw hole crack and rail bottom crack is 23~31 d B,and the sensitivity margin is greater than 20 d B.The detection SNR of the artificial damage of the sample wheel at the maximum speed of 80 km/h is greater than 18 d B,and there are more than 3 continuous alarm effective reflections at an interval of 6 mm.The rail detection high speed testing platform can verify the performance of ultrasonic flaw detection at high speed.
